Halloween Post

The leaves are changing.

Halloween Post

Tis time for a transformation.

October is one of my favorite months.

September kicks off my favorite season, and we go full force for Halloween. Our house and yard get doused with decorations, and it makes my heart happy every time I see it.

BONUS: We also learned the kid likes scooping out pumpkin guts this season, and now I have a plentiful supply of pumpkin seeds going forward. Win!

I always take October off for this reason. There are so many events and fun to be had, and I don’t want to lose out. The time off was really appreciated this month, and honestly, it brought about some semi permanent changes.

Come 2026, I’m going to travel less. I want to focus on being home more and my writing more. I love going to the cons. I love seeing friends and meeting new faces. My extroverted heart never tires of conversation, and I have so much fun, but I need to follow my gut on this one, and my gut says 2026 is a stay at home year.

In terms of the work I was actually able to complete, despite all the Halloween magic abound, we got through the first round of edits! That was a feat! Go us! We also started the second round, and those edits waited less than 10 pages before bringing about a big upheaval. Oh my. We have our work cut out for us for sure. Send PSLs or pumpkin chai post haste! 😵‍💫
We’ll get there eventually. I swear it. 💕
