Dipped my toes in the water.

Working on making life work.

March was healing, prepping, 1 show, and a surprisingly more amount of healing.

My first show post surgery was March 9.
It was a great show, as the Jodi & KT shows in Dubuque typically are.
I was prepped. I was ready. And as I write this almost a month later, I’m still not recovered from it.

My back was killing me by the end of the show, and before the show, the muscles in my legs had already felt off (but not painful, just weird).
I walked when I got home to try to shake off sitting for so long and felt like I was on the mend that night. However, when I woke up, I was in a good amount of pain in my legs and back, and I haven’t been able to shake it since.

No amount of stretching or exercise or resting seems to help. As of March 28th, I have pulled the left side of my back, and it’s very frustrating.

I’m not sure what the catalyst was, but I can assure you I sure do miss feeling healthy.
Hopefully, I will figure out the secret sauce to get back to where I was soon.

My next show is April 27. April actually has a lot of really cool things planned. I’m excited about it, and I’ll do everything I can to be physically ready for it.

I also started using a CGM for my diabetes in March and am enjoying how that is going.

I’m chugging along as an Indie Ink Awards judge. Those are always such fun.

📣AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST📣
I’m trying some new!! I have ARC sign ups open!
My next piece of work post The Magdalena Basil Trilogy is about ready to go, and for folks who want a free copy before it goes live, we have a sign up for that!!

I think that’s about it. I’m going to keep fighting the good fight, and I hope you all will, too. May your path serve you well.
