A month of highs and lows
The roller-coaster of life
May was not what I expected. I thought the month would focus on the final book launch of The Magdalena Basil Trilogy, and while countless hours did pour into that endeavor, my personal life took center stage a majority of the time.
Not only did I have to confront multiple health issues that will likely result in surgeries down the road, but we lost our tiny cat this month quite suddenly and unexpectedly.
It’s hard to lose a pet, but it’s harder to watch people you love fall apart day after day. Watching my kiddo and husband break down continuously is a daily strength test. Sometimes I pass, and sometimes I fail.
I’m grateful my book launches aren’t until the end of June. I’m anxious for my author copies to arrive and see the final puzzle piece in person. I’m really proud of the finale. I think it’s quite well crafted if I’m being honest.
So, I think for June, I hope to just enjoy the conclusion of a multi-year project, and then maybe by July, I’ll be able to share what’s next! 😉
