March Madness 2024

Lots of personal growth, very little progress.

Like all the months before it, March was crazy busy. However, this month, in particular, was busier on a personal end than a work end.

I was blessed enough to have two meet and greets at a local middle school, which I found enlightening. It was a great learning experience and a different crowd than I normally get, so I enjoyed that deeply.

However, very little editing got done in the last two weeks. My feelings of being behind in January have only stacked instead of lessened. And while my anxiety wishes I could have done “more,” I don’t think I’d have changed the outcome.

☆I was able to share some great quality bonding time with friends.
☆I got to reconnect with some folks I hadn’t talked to in a while.
☆My kiddo went on their first road trip with a friend and had the best time.
☆We obtained a 3D printer and are all getting the chance to learn a new skill together.

It’s a special time to be able to share with my family, and moments like that are priceless.

I also think March was the end of an Era in a way. I have been holding off doing vendor shows and sticking to author events and cons, but an organizer I like was trying out a new location, so I went for it. 6 hours. 2 sales (5 books total). That is likely the last one for the foreseeable future. Maybe once I have a few more books out, I’ll revisit the concept? But I’m not feeling like that direction is part of my calling right now.

I think that’s everything. If you follow these blogs, thanks for sticking around! Hopefully, next month I have lots of book three news I can share publicly, but until then, I hope your 2024 is going great, and I look forward to seeing you around!

Best,
